Information Technology University of the Punjab (ITU) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Inter University Consortium for Promotion of Social Sciences (IUCPSS), enabling ITU to become a member of the consortium and foster mutual cooperation and collaboration especially in the areas of joint research and faculty development/exchange within and outside Pakistan.
This MoU will also enable ITU to strengthen student societies and clubs and join the National Student Societies Network. Furthermore, the MoU will help ITU and IUCPSS to collaborate in improving and strengthening the scientific, academic and research capacities of the IUCPSS member universities in areas of mutual interest.
ITU Registrar Mr. Adeel Asghar and IUPCSS’ National Coordinator Mr. Muhammad Murtaza Noor formally signed the MoU.

We are pleased to share that ITU and GIKI earlier signed a Memorandum of Understanding and paved way for collaborative activities in a range of areas.
The areas of collaboration include conducting collaborative Research and development (R&D) work, visits and exchange of faculty, staff and students for research, teaching and discussions, exchange of academic/research information and materials, jointly organizing conferences, seminars, webinars, joint production and delivery of courses, lectures and programs, promoting collaboration in fields of mutual interest, graduate thesis evaluation and supervision, and other academic/R&D activities as mutually agreed.
Signatories to this MoU were Vice Chancellor ITU Prof. Dr Sarfraz Khurshid and Rector GIKI Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid (Sitara -e- Imtiaz). ITU’s Dean Faculty of Engineering Prof. Dr. Tauseef Tauqeer (GIKI Alumni 2005) was also invited to this ceremony.
During his address, Vice Chancellor ITU Prof. Dr Sarfraz Khurshid shared his professional and research experience along with some of the lessons from his journey during his graduate studies and professional life. He emphasized on the importance of attending the tech talks and urged the researchers to seek for innovate ideas that can revolutionize the economy. He expressed hope and confidence that ITU and GIKI’s collaboration will offer great opportunities to students and teachers alike.

Information Technology University (ITU) and the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industries (LCCI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to foster cross-disciplinary collaboration and access to the industrial associations to develop indigenous solutions/products relevant to the local industry. The signing ceremony was chaired by Mr. Adeel Asghar, Registrar ITU, Mr. Kashif Anwar, President LCCI, and Mr. Zafar Mahmood, Senior Vice President LCCI.
Speaking on the event, Mr. Adeel Asghar shared the vision of ITU and briefed its history in establishing itself as a lead research and academic institute of Pakistan. Professor Usman Younis presented the indigenous technologies developed at ITU and their consumption in automating the manufacturing and services industry. He emphasized on achieving the goal of industrial standard 4.0 in Pakistan.
The president LCCI heartily appreciated the locally relevant technologies being developed at ITU and assured LCCI’s full support in helping the university in becoming an established authority of tangible R & D in Pakistan.

Information Technology University and Mindstorm Studios signed an MoU today. The meeting was chaired by the university’s registrar Mr. Adeel Asghar.
The signatories included Mr. Adeel Asghar, Mr. Mustafa Sajid Tirmizi, Director M-Labs Mr. Yaser Awan, and Ms. Ramsha Hasan. This collaboration will provide an opportunity to ITU students to gain, learn and explore the field of game building.
