Information Technology University (ITU), Lahore is developing an AI-Powered Uni- versity Knowledge Chatbot Platform as a flagship product under the Artificial Intelligence Cluster initiative. This system is envisioned as a unified conversational intel- ligence platform that transforms how institutional knowledge is accessed, delivered, and utilized across universities.

Modern universities operate as complex knowledge ecosystems, where critical infor- mation related to academic programs, admissions, faculty expertise, research opportuni- ties, policies, and regulatory frameworks is often distributed across multiple disconnected sources. This fragmentation creates barriers for students, faculty, and stakeholders in accessing timely and reliable information.
To address this challenge, the proposed chatbot platform serves as a centralized, intelligent, and governed knowledge interface, enabling users to interact with uni- versity information through natural language queries and receive accurate, context-aware responses in real time.
