Information Technology University (ITU) and the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industries (LCCI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to foster cross-disciplinary collaboration and access to the industrial associations to develop indigenous solutions/products relevant to the local industry. The signing ceremony was chaired by Mr. Adeel Asghar, Registrar ITU, Mr. Kashif Anwar, President LCCI, and Mr. Zafar Mahmood, Senior Vice President LCCI.
Speaking on the event, Mr. Adeel Asghar shared the vision of ITU and briefed its history in establishing itself as a lead research and academic institute of Pakistan. Professor Usman Younis presented the indigenous technologies developed at ITU and their consumption in automating the manufacturing and services industry. He emphasized on achieving the goal of industrial standard 4.0 in Pakistan.
The president LCCI heartily appreciated the locally relevant technologies being developed at ITU and assured LCCI’s full support in helping the university in becoming an established authority of tangible R & D in Pakistan.
