We are pleased to share that ITU and GIKI earlier signed a Memorandum of Understanding and paved way for collaborative activities in a range of areas.
The areas of collaboration include conducting collaborative Research and development (R&D) work, visits and exchange of faculty, staff and students for research, teaching and discussions, exchange of academic/research information and materials, jointly organizing conferences, seminars, webinars, joint production and delivery of courses, lectures and programs, promoting collaboration in fields of mutual interest, graduate thesis evaluation and supervision, and other academic/R&D activities as mutually agreed.
Signatories to this MoU were Vice Chancellor ITU Prof. Dr Sarfraz Khurshid and Rector GIKI Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid (Sitara -e- Imtiaz). ITU’s Dean Faculty of Engineering Prof. Dr. Tauseef Tauqeer (GIKI Alumni 2005) was also invited to this ceremony.
During his address, Vice Chancellor ITU Prof. Dr Sarfraz Khurshid shared his professional and research experience along with some of the lessons from his journey during his graduate studies and professional life. He emphasized on the importance of attending the tech talks and urged the researchers to seek for innovate ideas that can revolutionize the economy. He expressed hope and confidence that ITU and GIKI’s collaboration will offer great opportunities to students and teachers alike.
