Six e-Khidmat Markaz CFSC Process 400,000 Services in Stipulated Time

The Citizen Facilitation and Service Centres (e-Khidmat Markaz) established by Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) operational in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Gujranwala and Sahiwal districts have processed 400,000 plus different services including Issuance of FARD (Record), Learner Driving License, traffic fine collection, NADRA e-Sahulat, Bank Services, issuance of eStamp Paper, Pakistan Post Service, Motor Vehicle Registration, token tax payment, vehicle transfer of ownership, NADRA CNIC, route permit, character, birth death certificates, marriage and divorce certificates with 99 % turnaround time across the Punjab Province. This was informed during a progress review meeting chaired by Dr. Umar Saif founding Vice Chancellor of ITU, Chairman PITB and Advisor to the CM Punjab here today.

The meeting was further informed that plus 700,000 citizens visited these centers. The Chairman PITB directed the officials to work on fast track basis to establish additional 10 e-Khidmat centers in nine divisions of the Punjab by end of 2017 to one-stop shop services of multiple departments.

Dr. Umar Saif said that setting up of these facilitation centers across the Punjab would help the government to achieve the objectives of empowering citizens by providing easy access to public services,  effective, efficient, prompt hassle-free and corruption-free service delivery, greater accountability and transparency, standardization of public service delivery, extending access to un-served groups, simplifying transaction procedures, minimizing costs to citizens, minimizing cost to government (internal efficiency), increasing government revenue, public satisfaction index and above all establishing transparency.

Excise & Taxation Department, NADRA, Traffic Police, City District Administration, Transport Department, Punjab Police and Board of Revenue (PMU-LRIMS) are providing services to the citizens under one roof in conducive atmosphere with automated service tracking facility in proactive manner.
