Innovation took center stage at the Information Technology University (ITU), Barki Campus, as the ORIC successfully hosted the inaugural Sparkup Innovation Summit 2026, bringing together academia, industry leaders, and graduating students on a single platform to showcase innovation, research, and entrepreneurship.
A total of 134 final-year and research projects were presented, spanning engineering, computer science, business, humanities, and applied sciences, reflecting ITU’s strong interdisciplinary and industry-driven academic culture.
The event brought together around 45 leading organizations from the public and private sectors, including Systems Limited, NetSol Technologies, Tkxel, PITB, SUPARCO, and many others, engaging directly with students as evaluators, mentors, and industry experts.
Students were awarded certificates in recognition of their participation and academic work, while evaluators and distinguished guests were presented with shields and souvenirs as a gesture of appreciation for their valuable contributions.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Adnan Noor Mian highlighted Sparkup as a vital bridge between academia and industry, where student ideas transform into real-world impact through mentorship and collaboration.
