The Centre of Governance and Policy at ITU presents “Afkar-e- Taza Think Fest”, a literary event which
brings together distinguished artists, analysts, authors, poets, and entertainers from all around the
globe, for the second time. The keynotes of this event include Nobel Peace Laureate, Tawakkol Kamran,
a Yemeni journalist and, human rights activist and former Chairman of the Conservative Party of UK, Rt.
Hon. Baroness Warsi.
The Alhamra Arts Council will be converted into an interactive scholarly space where there will be
various activities ranging from literary discussions and theatre exhibitions to cultural performances and
a music concert.
There will be an exhibition curated by Asad Hayee titled as, “Who’s afraid of Pakistani Art” and
furthermore a special exhibition, “Envisioning Borders” on the Partition of 1947 by a seasoned artist
Farida Batool, a film festival featuring international films from six continents will also take place.
A Speaker's corner for author meet and greet with the general public is also devoted. Book signings,
cultural performances and a music concert will also be a part of this event.
The event will take place from 11 AM to 7:30 PM on both Saturday and Sunday and is free for all with no
