The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB)’s newly enhanced career center Punjab Jobs Online — https://www.jobs.punjab.gov.pk/ is successfully facilitating the Employers & Employees across Punjab and ensuring transparency through technological interventions since its launch a month ago on August 10, 2017. Dr. Umar Saif the founding Vice Chancellor of Information Technology University (ITU), Chairman PITB and Advisor to CM Punjab said while reviewing the project here today. The portal connects prolific professionals across all disciplines and career stages with employers offering job opportunities.
He was informed that till to-date 319 departments of the Punjab government have registered with Punjab Jobs Online (PJO), while 1191 candidates have applied through this portal and a number of 56,862 individuals visited the website in a very short time of over one month, which confirms the acceptance of the portal by the prospective candidates. Punjab Job Portal is set apart by a number of benefits offered to professionals and employers.
The Chairman PITB was informed that new jobs could be created and made available to masses through click of a button. Candidates would be shortlisted electronically as per criteria defined in Contract & Recruitment Policy, enabling the departments to formulate interview panels, prepare comparative reports and verify applicants through different data sources such as NADRA, Driving License Management System, Domicile System and Criminal databases, the meeting was apprised.
Under this portal all recruitments in government departments from (BPS-11-17) are being conducted through this portal. Candidates can create profile through CV builder, use advanced searching criteria to find jobs relevant to their skill set, link public profiles (LinkedIn and Facebook) and get information about application status via Email this month. Other features include profile builder, automated interview scheduling, and comprehensive shortlisting process reducing the tedious paperwork in the manual process.
