PITB TRAINS 140 CITY TRAFFIC POLICE WARDENS FOR ‘PAPERLESS ENVIRONMENT’

In order to establish paperless environment at all offices of City Traffic Police Lahore (CTPL), the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) and CTPL has collaborated to initiate the task by commencing 4 weeks training classes with multiple sessions, which include basic IT training i.e. computer applications, access of Google maps in detail and the proper usage of internet for traffic wardens by PITB. Around 140 Wardens are attending the training, which is first ever transition initiative of its kind.

Reviewing the collaboration, the founding Vice Chancellor of Information Technology University (ITU) the Punjab, Chairman PITB and Advisor to the CM Punjab Dr. Umar Saif directed the PITB to make innovative improvements to get effective results from the training for implementation in CTPO’s across the Punjab Province to efficiently control and manage the traffic affairs which would help in instant decision making and planning. “Paperless Environment” for CTPL will also facilitate citizens in considerable ways.

The Chairman was informed during a review meeting that the “Paperless Environment” for the City Traffic Police Lahore would enhance the performance of services and it would also help in time reducing process for a comprehensive database of the traffic police. The need of this transition is inevitable to have a comprehensive administering the department affairs. Following its successful execution, the PITB would be conducting several more sessions in future.
