ITU-KCWU COLLABORATE TO HOST Hult Prize TOMORROW
Information Technology University (ITU), the Punjab in collaboration with Kinnaird College for Women University are selected to Host local edition of Hult Prize as students answer the United Nation’s Challenge and go head-to-head for US $ one million. This event will be held in coordination with Tech Entrepreneur Society (TES) at ITU on December 2, 2017, Saturday from 3 pm to 6 pm at Arfa Software Technology Park, 3rd Floor Auditorium while the Chief Guests include Dr. Umar Saif founding Vice Chancellor of ITU, Chairman PITB and Advisor to the CM Punjab, Dr. Rukhsana David, Principal KCWU and Imran Jattala National Director at Hult Prize Foundation.
The winner of the intra-campus event will automatically advance to compete in one of fifteen regional finals happening around the world next March, 2018. One winning team from each host city will then move onto a summer business incubator, where participants will receive mentorship, advisory and strategic planning as they create prototypes and set-up to launch their new social business. A final round of competition will be hosted in September 2018, where the winning team to be awarded the $1,000,000 prize.
Jahanzaib Sohail from ITU and Tooba Malik from KCWU will be leading the Hult Prize at ITU’s initiative, and are confident that their peers have as good as chance as anyone to go all the way and with this year’s Hult Prize.The Hult Prize is a start-up accelerator for social entrepreneurship that brings together the brightest college and university students from around the globe to solve the world’s most pressing issues.
