Biography
He obtained PhD in Computer Science from the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences (NUCES-FAST), Lahore, with specialization in Natural Language Processing and Machine Translation. His doctoral research focused on improving English-to-Urdu statistical machine translation through the integration of morphological and syntactic information. He has previously served in academic and leadership roles at the University of the Punjab, Bahria University Lahore, and Multan University of Science and Technology, and has also contributed to the technology and EdTech industry. He has authored 19 research publications and three monographs and has received the Distinguished Teacher Award (2019). He has over 22 years of experience in higher education, research, academic leadership, and the technology industry. His current research focuses particularly on human-centered AI, intelligent educational systems, multilingual and low-resource language technologies, and responsible applications of generative AI. He is interested in developing practical AI systems and research applications that bridge advances in intelligent computing with real-world educational, linguistic, and societal needs.
