The RISE‑MICCAI Online Summer School 2025, held from July 14 to 18, brought together global participants for an immersive learning experience in medical image analysis and artificial intelligence. As one of the official local hubs in Asia, Information Technology University (ITU), Lahore, proudly hosted around 30+ students who actively engaged in the sessions.

The RISE‑MICCAI Summer School featured leading experts who explored key topics in medical imaging and AI, including emerging trends, best practices, diffusion models, graph learning, and uncertainty quantification. Participants gained valuable insights into scientific writing, research development, and the MICCAI review process, along with hands-on experience through challenges and interactive workshops. The program also emphasized mentorship, collaboration, and the use of practical tools such as Git and Docker, fostering both technical skills and professional growth while helping participants learn how to structure research ideas effectively.

The ITU Lahore hub was coordinated by Rabia Haq, with support from Dr. Waqas Sultani, Dr. Mohsen Ali, and Dr. Arif Mahmood. The successful participation from ITU’s Faculty of Sciences reaffirms the university’s commitment to academic excellence, mentorship, and advancing global research collaboration.
