We are delighted to share the remarkable achievement of Ehtasham Naseer, PhD student at ITU’s Remote Sensing and Spatial Analytics Lab.
Ehtasham was awarded the ETH4D Doctoral Mentorship Grant and successfully completed a three-month research stay at the Earth Observation and Remote Sensing Group, ETH Zurich. During his time there, he worked on Differential SAR Interferometry (DInSAR) using SAOCOM satellite data to study ground deformation processes over the Swiss Alps — gaining invaluable experience in cutting-edge Earth observation and geospatial analysis.

He also represented ITU at the ESA Living Planet Symposium 2025 in Vienna, one of the world’s leading gatherings in the Earth observation community.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Ehtasham for this outstanding accomplishment and for proudly representing ITU on such prestigious international platforms.
