biography

Dr. Ahmad Mustafa obtained his PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology, USA. Prior to joining ITU, he worked at Occidental Petroleum, leading the development of large-scale computational methods to streamline subsurface applications. His research interests lie in machine learning, weakly supervised learning, computational image interpretation, and domain adaptation. He was awarded the Roger P. Webb ECE GRA Excellence Award in recognition of his research contributions by Georgia Tech.

For his teaching services, he was awarded the Outstanding Online Head TA Award, the ECE GTA Excellence Award, and the ECE CREATION Award. His work has been featured in top-tier peer-reviewed academic journals, conference proceedings, and technical presentations, and is frequently cited by both academic and industry peers.
