Her recent research interests are dabbling into the world of virtual reality, its impact on literature and a correlation between the two fields.


With an M. Phil in English degree from Kinnaird College for Women, Lahore – Pakistan, currently Maham is working as a Teaching Fellow in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Information Technology University. Her research interests vary from ecocriticism within modern poetry, psychoanalytic literary criticism, magical realism, mythology and folklore.

Her M. Phil research focuses on tracing the traditions of character development, passed down from one generation of author to the next within the literary genre; some of the traditions evolving thus surviving, while others become obsolete.
