Syed Hassan Abbas, an MS student at Information Technology University (ITU), has been selected to attend the International Development and Design Summit (IDDS) 2014, scheduled to take place in Tanzania. IDDS is a month long event initiated and hosted by MIT’s D-Lab co-director Dr. Amy Smith. The summit focuses on bringing together people from different disciplines to creatively use technology and design to create low-cost solutions for problems faced by the developing world. This year’s summit will lay emphasis on community-participation development models for innovation in the fields of agriculture and energy.
